Reinhart’s etching shows the view over Lago Albano toward the convent of Sta. Maria ad Nives di Palazzolo with the Monto Cavo, the ancient site of a temple of Jupiter, in the background. It therefore not only presents a picturesque landscape but also one full of historical significance.
